j2m Solutions is located in the greater metropolitan area of Portland, Oregon. This allows for easy access to all three northwest states; Oregon, Washington and Idaho.
The founder and principal is Mr. John M. Mertlich.
Mr. Mertlich is a 30 year IT, manufacturing, and distribution management professional. He has had a wide range of manufacturing and distribution experience that includes Traffic/Distribution Manager, Customer Service Manager, Materials Manager, Director of Supply Chain, Director of Information Technology, and Director of Manufacturing. He has had experience in setting up line and staff functions in startup companies and he has served in senior management roles in larger organizations. He has been a speaker and a presenter at conferences and seminars on the use of IT tools in manufacturing.
Mr. Mertlich has been involved in implementing MRP/ERP systems in and throughout North America and has traveled to South America and Asia in consulting, coordinating and managing the implementation of manufacturing ERP systems. He has been a facilitator for change throughout his career.
Mr. Mertlich holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Portland State University with emphasis in Physical Distribution and Transportation Law.
